Tenzin Pema

Health Equity Research Fellow (Non-Resident)

Tenzin is currently an OTD student at UIC with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Disability and Human Development.

Tenzin grew up in India as a Tibetan refugee before immigrating to the United States as a first-generation Tibetan American. Due to her background, Tenzin is interested in working with immigrant and refugee populations and hopes to bring the knowledge of her lived experiences to guide her future work as a licensed Occupational Therapist. In her free time, Tenzin enjoys reading, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
