Report – South Asian Americans in Illinois: Making Data Count (2024)

Our latest report analyzes key data from the 2020 U.S. Census, highlighting the diversity and growing impact of the South Asian American community. This is the second report we launched at our June “State of South Asian American Affairs” event and part of our ongoing campaign to spotlight important findings in all three reports. By breaking down disaggregated data, the report sheds light on demographic trends across Illinois and the Midwest, addressing gaps in policymaking that often overlook the unique needs of South Asian Americans.
