From Thursday-Sunday, September 21st-24th, the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) took place at the ShowPlace ICON Theatre & Kitchen at Roosevelt Collection. The CSAFF celebrated its 14th anniversary and is dedicated to promoting a diverse cinematic experience through South Asian films. The CSAFF team created a wonderful platform for alternative cinema in the city of Chicago.
Executive Director Shobhana Verma was able to attend and watch Sean Sankalp Raju’s “Nazar,” Vibha Kulkarni’s “Letters from the past,” Shetu Modi’s “Fan Girl” and Aarti S Bagdi’s “Chalti Rahe Zindagi.” Additionally, she was invited to moderate the post-screening discussion with the filmmakers.
